Over the last couple of years, I’ve been using these cute stockings from Crate & Barrel for my Christmas table decoration. They’re a great way to hold the silverware and they match perfectly well with my modern, yet all-time-classic, white dishes.
This year, I wanted to add some more color to my Christmas table so I bought some pom pom Trim from Joann.
It matches the red with from the stockings perfectly, and the texture goes so well with my knitted stockings.
I found two kind of Pom Pom trims, the regular one and the baby pom pom trim. I bought a couple of rolls of both.
At even intervals, I placed glue dots around the borders of my serving platters, and then added the pom pom trim on top. Ready!
An instant Christmas transformation without any effort!
I placed the food platters onto cake stands so that the pom pom would be elevated and show even more.
I also used deeper serving bowls so the trim would show.
To elevate a shallow plate, I turned a bowl or cup upside down and placed the dish on top, like these chocolate, here:
Next year, I’ll have some pom pom trim around my glass votive holders, too!
Red and White for Santa and my Christmas table setting looks amazing!
To remove the pom pom trim, just tare it off and remove the glue dots by using the tip of a sharp knife.
I can’t wait for Christmas Day to enjoy this amazing table setting and the delicious food!
p.s. The recipe for the savory tart will be on my next post!
